On December 24th, 1998, the LHW held it's first major event ever, Christmas Chaos 1998. The event gave the LHW stars a chance to show there wares. Every title was up for grabs, including the Heavyweight Championship and the Tag Team Championships. Also at this event, 3 new titles were put into effect: the Independent-Wrestling (I-W) Championship, the Edmonton Championship and the Fort McMurray Championship. Here are the results:
Packed with action, every wrestler participated in this tournament to acquire the newly created I-W gold. Even Heavyweight Champion Doomsday Blues participated, despite being disqualified in the first round. After all the action, it remained with only two competitors left in the ring for the final match: Sabel Liddell and the Pillsbury Dough Man. The match went on to the time limit and into overtime, in which Sabel Liddell planted the Sabel's Dance on the Pillsbury Dough Man and scored the victory to become the new I-W Champion.
The Nutcracker took it to Axe Hogle early, planting her with a DDT and a power-bomb. But when he went for the cover, Axe kicked out. Once again, The Nutcracker took control and threw Axe into a ringside table, but refused to go for the pin. It proved costly in the end, though. As The Nutcracker climbed to the top rope for his finishing move, The Special T, Axe Hogle caught him and turned it into her own finisher, The Twister, forcing The Nutcracker to tap out and making Axe Hogle the new Edmonton Champion!
In the very first Dog House match in the LHW, the object was to get your opponent into the doghouse and shut the door on him before he can recover. Knowing this, Doomsday Blues entered the ring to face, probably, the most experienced and devastating wrestlers in the LHW, Doctor Death. A loud chorus of boos rang out as the challenger, Doctor Death himself, made his way to the ring to attempt to claim his first LHW Championship.
The action was intense as Dr. Death opened up with a running clothesline and followed it up with an elbow drop. He tried for his famous top rope maneuver, 'The Artist Formerly Known As Smash', but Doomsday Blues rolled out of the way. Reversing the action in his direction, Doomsday Blues quickly clamped his D-Lock hold on the former BAWA Wrestling Champion, But Dr. Death kicked out.
After many near falls in the Dog House, Dr. Death and Doomsday Blues battled it out inside the doghouse. As Dr. Death set up DD Blues for his finisher, Killer Slam, Blues reversed it and turned it into his own finisher, Sweet Blues Music! Thus resulting in the Kick @$$ Kid shutting the door on Dr. Death and becoming the undisputed Heavyweight Champion!
In the final match of this major event, we saw the three competitors from the Ft. McMurray Division, fight for the new Ft. McMurray Championship. The match didn't last long, as Doctor Death quickly pinned Cheetor, and then finished off The Man They Call God to become the new Fort McMurray Champion!
