The New Age Outlaws, made up of Bad @$$ Billy Gunn and the Road Dog Jesse James, have been teaming for a while, ever since the days of Rockabilly and the 'REAL' Double J, actually. The two were probably at the lowlites of their careers, Billy Gunn was teaming with the Honky Tonk Man and Jesse James was going nowhere, when Jesse James proposed that the two of them become tag team partners. After agreeing, Rockabilly became Bad @$$ and the 'REAL' Double J became Road Dog. Road Dog grew back his trademark dreadlocks and Bad @$$ went back to being a blonde, in short: The New Age Outlaws had been formed.
After Wrestlemania XIV, The New Age Outlaws showed their devotion to showmanship and joined a recently reformed D-Generation X. Since then, Billy Gunn has won the Tag Team Championship more times than any other wrestler (6) and Road Dog has become the WWF Hardcore Champion. Both were beginning to go their seperate ways until on March 8th, on MONDAY NIGHT RAW IS WAR, the former Tag Team Champions teamed up once again against the J.O.B Squad, and announced their current quest to regain the gold that they once held.
